Next Sunday, December 5th, the Municipal Inter-Schools Surfing Championship returns for another competition, taking place at Praia de Matosinhos. The championship, promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos and organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, takes place on different beaches in the municipality, with the competition taking place by teams, in a relay format.
With two competitions already held, on the beaches of Cabo do Mundo and Aterro, the Matosinhos Surf School Cup will now be present at Praia de Matosinhos, thus continuing to foster moments of sharing and socializing between the various surf schools in the municipality. In addition to its innovative format, which consists of the application of a competitive relay format, the Municipal Inter-Schools of Surfing Championship has as its main objectives to promote the coastline of Matosinhos and encourage the practice of sliding sports.
More than a surfing championship, this is an event for the whole community, for friends and family, so like the previous stages, there will be several activities taking place on the beach in parallel.
Sustainability dynamics will be developed, such as beach cleaning, as well as a relaxed moment with Deeply softboard boards.
These actions, which have the support of the sponsors, intend to provide a moment of leisure to the community and raise awareness about the preservation of the coastline and its resources.
The Matosinhos Surf School Cup is promoted by the Municipality of Matosinhos, organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, with the sponsorship of APDL, Deeply, Sociedade Comercial C. Santos and Matosinhos Sport.
